Tax Season is arriving faster than this past summer left us. But fear not! If you’re reading this, you’re already one step closer to enjoying a stress-free tax season! Keep in mind the following reminders and deadlines and you’ll be on the yellow brick road to success!
Start gathering your documents as soon as they arrive in the mail and save them in a safe place that you’ll remember in order to prevent a frantic pre-tax meeting search. Click here to see the types of documents you’ll need to provide for us to prepare your individual tax return and click here for a list of documents you’ll need to bring to provide for us to prepare your business tax return.
In order to safe yourself time, it would be best to refrain from scheduling a meeting with us before your return is prepared. You will benefit more fully from an appointment to review your completed tax return instead of one at the beginning of the preparation process. Of course, we will contact you with any questions or concerns as we prepare your return.
At Alfano & Company, we’ll need your tax forms by March 23, 2020 (Information for the preparation of partnerships and s‐corporations which are due March 16th must be received by February 17, 2020). You can drop off your information or upload it unto our secure portal. However, if you don’t yet have all of your documents by that date, please still provide us with everything you have at that time. We can then begin working on your tax return before the April rush begins.
